About this artwork: Mandela Visits Washington, D.C. –In 1990, Nelson Mandela, the President of South Africa, would have looked like a typical New York Yankee fan taking a morning stroll, had he not been surrounded by D.C. police officers. He'd been to a Yankees game in New York the night before. In 1993 he shared the Nobel Peace Prize with Frederik Willem de Klerk.
