About this artwork: Stranded on a Mountaintop-Many of the Kurds who were driven from their homes in Iraq by Saddam Hussein's military forces were stranded on the Zagros Mountains that line the border between Iraq and Turkey. Some, like this small group of refugees, stayed near the mountaintops to escape the unsanitary conditions in the large refugee camp halfway down the mountain.
